THE LONG AWAITED DAY
a day filled with happiness and joy, excitement and love, reluctance but memorable.. jiejie is offically Mrs. Yak! we have finally, happily placed our dearest sister's hands into those of Noven, my brother-in-law.. we didn't lose a sister! but we gained another family member.. that's how family expands right? =)
aniwae, this is a late entry thou.. cuz the wedding was held on the 27th, and it's already the 3rd! oops! but was wayyy to busy to blog, so..
maaf people!
the night before: Our stairs were nicely decorated with
cream and
red roses from far east flora, and
golden &
red ribbons; the gate outside, was stacked with
pink and
cream roses at the brim/top of the gate...
on the day: We woke up at 5am to start all preparations.. jiejie's makeup artist arrived, and got her dressed up the white gown, while joy joy and i changed into our
similar dresses of white to be her
JIe MeI~ (tgt with her other friends) yupz! this was the first time i ever tried being a jie mei.. and seriously the jie-mei's in-charge cuz i'm the biggest sister next to jiejie! so weird n awkward thou.. haha.
when the groom arrived, haha it was so funny.. we had him outside the sliding gate @ the car porch, and we negotiated terms thru the sliding gate! and the first thing Noven did whn he arrived at the gate, was to shout:" AuntieEeEeEeeee!!!! Help!!!"
Games after games, bargaining of ang baos as well, he's finally allowed into the house but not into the ROOm! only after he sang a loud love song to jiejie - -
Forever Love - - sooo touching!!!
(he was actuali made to say "i love you, jinny" in 8 languages over the fone to my sis haha! all the hokkien cantonese vietnamese blah blah.. thanks to his brothers!~ )the moment Noven entered the ROOm, it was a moment of silence.. like a solemn occasion (when it wasn't supposed to be so) he knelt down, held jiejie's hands, lifted her veil, and ... =)
as they bade daddy and mummy farewell to go to the Groom's house for tea ceremony, jiejie hugged mummy... Awww... that sight made me and joy joy felt like crying.. *sobsob*
joy joy and I had to leave with them and head towards Noven's house.. so weird.. we had never left our parents' sight and side whenever it comes to family/relatives-related stuff... and this time round, we are all alone, to depend on each other and our task was to take care of jie jie! hee.. felt so empowered then.. haha
the busy morning ended back at home, whr the 2nd round of tea ceremony took place.. and joy joy and i get to serve tea to Jiejie and Noven!! so funny!!! i actualli took the tea cup, held back for quite a while before i actuali serve it to Noven and call him "
JIE FU"!!!
quite immediately, we headed to Rasa Sentosa for the preparation and
some rest..the rooms were beautiful.. especially jiejie's.. hee..but that's of course.. make-up artist arrived! hee was so keen on seeing how she performs the makeup wonders, i just kept staring.. i love my hair too! the messy bunches on top, but big curls below.. =D joy joy had a super stylish hairdo.. her skin colour's so beyonceeeee.. every one calls it - - HEALTHY.
The Wedding Dinner: was busy helping jiejie with her loOooOoong dress-tail behind, following her wherever she goes and making sure she looks the best... food? i practically ate cold food despite being seated at the 2nd VIP table.. cuz most of the time, i could only eat one-two mouthfuls, and i gotta move off to help jiejie get changed for 2nd march-in, 3rd march-in.. whn guests who are late arrived, i've gotta bring them to their designated tables.. blah blah.. busy-busy-bee!
ok this is a realli ultra long entry.. so shall stop somewhere here liao.. jiejie's sooo preettty.. thru-out the whole dinner, despite me being with jiejie for almost every moment, at times whn she's walkin thru the march-in, whn she's at her table, i just can't help taking more peeks at my beautiful and beloved sister.. she's gonna start her own family, in her new and nicely-designed house.. i'm not going to see her everyday.. neither will it be as often anymore.. but i think it's enuf to know that, she will be living happily ever after...
jie jie, no matter what happens, your family is always here for you.. we love you!ohh photos here are only those few captured in my camera.. official photographer=my uncle, still has the master copies of every detail of the day! sooo wait till i lay my hands on them.. hiak hiak..
(u see, the bride and groom are the busiest, so joyjoy and i seriously rarely get to snap pics with them using our lousy cam, as compared to the professional camm :: this explains why there ain't any pics taken of the couple, proper ones heex.. )
