Finally said goodbye to audit! my 2nd home (eeeeeyer) for 2 years.. it was a difficult decision.. haha on my last day, i realised i don't really have much friends in office! (sh*t) that's so sad.. i was walking around office with my camera, but i can't find much people to take pictures with me.. haha full year round in the west.. no doubt noone knows me.. *sadded*
aniwae, i'm 2nd day into my new job. hmm, its really quite a routine job i would say.. but i guess all jobs have their challenges and variation in their own way! i'm still learning, so i shdn't evaluate it too soon! u know what, when i saw dardar on my first day, after work, immediately teared.. think he understands.. its really not easy to just change the environment, and be unsure, uncertain of what u are doing.. but i thought through it myself..i really shouldn't judge it too soon..give both me and the job a chance.. i've spent 2 years on the front line battle, talking to clients, liasing, moving around.. now spend 2 years staying behind, doing the background works, routine daily stuff.. a fair try isnt' it? lastly, its not like i'm not paid.. with the deserving pay, i should jus strive and not give up.. =)
1st half of the day was rather excited in learning, 2nd half was abit overwhelming.. apparently my colleague who was teaching me, didn't have audit experience.. haha.. cuz an audit knowledge transfer and a commercial knowledge transfer, is really somewhat different.. i guess because audit u just have to keep handing over and teaching ur juniors, that's what is expected of a senior, to an assistant.. but in commercial, nopes we just do our own.. in fact, i have someone to teach me, i'm quite fortunate.. my impression for commercial is.. MYOB.. cn u prove me wrong? haha i even tried asking, heys, anything i can help? hhahh something so common and expected of assistants ... hah i think my colleague feels weird with me asking..
oh one more thing! haha.. i think i'm sortof a weirdo in her eyes? haha cuz i brought my own mouse and pencil case.. hee but but but, cuz i'm not used to their mouse! so big and the scroller is so not sensitive.. so i brought my own! next up, she saw the pencil case.. and she asked, huh? u bring ur own? cuz u can actually take stationary from the firm.. but its locked up! and i duno where to get.. nvm la... wait till i run out.. haha am i weird? hee but i feel much better today, seeing familiar things on the table..
slowly i'll start to import more stuff to make the table more cosy.. hee..
my manager is quite nice.. he used to be from my ex-firm! but i tink tats duno how many years ago.. cuz he said he was classmates with my client's CFO, who happens to be the same batch as my firm's young p*rtner.. haha cool right.. but he has no 'air' at all! vvery nice person and willing to teach..
really hope to pick up what i'm taught asap, so that i can familiarise and dun feel so out or loss anymore.. my reading notes/references, look like what we studied in schooll.... cool man..
last but not least, i've been goin home at 6.30 7pm everyday.. its considered earli and i get to see boy boy everyday!! so happy.. tats the next and only plus point left!
